Robotic Laser Cladder
Motion Indonesia’s new ground-breaking robotic laser cladding machine from Laserline, Germany, is now
fully operational and ready for use in our Surabaya workshop.
Motion laser cladding uses the very latest technology to provide precise heat control for a smaller
heat-affected zone compared to traditional welding and spraying methods, and prevents chipping and peel
off by fusing the laser cladded areas giving a true metallurgical bond at the molecular level for
greater protection in repairs.
Common applications for using laser cladding over conventional welding and spraying are in repairing worn or damaged industrial components, restoring them to their original dimensions; and surface protection by shielding new parts from extreme wear or corrosion, in the following industries:
- Oil and gas
- Mining
- Pulp and paper
- Cement
- Marine
- Agriculture
- Automotive
- Mould and tooling.
Laser cladding is a future-forward technology with high returns on sustainability as the diode lasers are high on energy saving and low on carbon emissions. It also offers a longer service life, and is a very cost-effective refurbishing or coating option.
