Schenck Balancer
Motion uses a Schenck HGW40B balancer with 1T weight capacity and the CAB920 measuring unit in its
Surabaya workshop.
The two combine for an industrial-grade dynamic balancing machine system widely used in heavy equipment
repair shops, automotive manufacturing, and overhaul facilities.
A balancer is a precision measuring instrument to detect and correct weight imbalances in rotating
mechanical parts. Imbalances in rotating equipment cause harmful vibrations, noise, and early wear.
These balancers find where a rotor or shaft is heavy and calculate the exact weight needed to balance it out. Balancing:
- Stops excessive machine shaking
- Extends the working life of bearings and motors
- Lowers the risk of sudden mechanical failure
- Improves overall energy efficiency.
Advantages of the HGW Series: Utilizes a semi-automatic system with high-level safety features (ISO 7475
protection class) to protect operators from the risk of impact by rapidly rotating objects.
The CAB 920 is an advanced computer/data processor unit that acts as the "brain" of the Schenck
balancing machine.
